This blog is dedicated to any strange observations, ideas, or tips that I, Absenm, have about the Runescape world. But before I get to all that fun stuff I want to make a few things clear to the readers of this blog.

1) I understand a lot of people think that Runescape sucks. To that all I will say is “to-each-his-own.” I know there are many other very fine multi player role playing games on the internet. Many have better graphics. Many have better story lines. Many have this that or the other. That is wonderful. I am not saying that Runescape is best. I just happen to prefer Runescape over the others. It is simple, yet engaging. And a lot of people seem to agree with me. So to those of you out there who hate Runescape, please don’t waste my time with silly comments like “Runescape sucks.” Those will be deleted. However, if you wish to post mature, well constructed opinions about Runescape or others games then please be my guest.

2) I am not an expert about Runescape. I am not a noob either. I play when I have free time and as a very nice way to relax and blow off steam after a hard day at work. Right now I am a level 89 combat warrior. I have been playing for four years, three of those as a member. Sometimes I will play everyday for weeks. Sometimes I won’t even touch it for months. 3) I am reasonably anti-social on the Runescape world. I don’t mean that in a bad way. I simply don’t do much chatting or directly interacting with other players. I guess you could say I am shy or simply distant. But in the end I have to deal with people all day, so when I am gaming I try to avoid interacting with other people. I give help when I can, but as I said above, I won’t stick around and chit-chat.

There are thousands of Runescape blogs out there.  Most are people keeping a journal of their daily activities in Runescape. That is great, and represents truly the spirit that made blogging so popular. But this blog will be different. I generally will not talk about my day-to-day Runescape life. This blog will have three main categories.

Tips:  I will try to offer tips based on my medium level of experience in Runescape. I don’t claim to be an expert. I don’t claim that my advice is the best. What I do guarantee is that the advice I give is what I follow in game play and it works well for me.  And when I say tips, I mean tips.  I do not offer cheats.  I do not condone cheats.  I do not link to cheats.  And I will remove any comments offering cheats.

Ideas:  I will offer many ideas on how Runescape can become even better. I really enjoy Runescape, but there is always room for improvement. The downfall for any game is when it stops evolving. That is why so many people go out and wait in line to buy the latest and greatest version of their games. Without updates, games start to get boring. Runescape does not fall victim to this fate with their policy of almost regular biweekly content updates. Knowing that the wonderful people at Jagex are always adding to the world of Runescape makes it fun for me and other fans to toss out wild ideas that may or may not show up in the game.

Random Thoughts:  I will offer my bizarre observations about the world of Runescape. If I see something funny, or cool, or weird, or down right jaw dropping, I will try to get a screen capture and then give my two cents worth about it. Maybe I will be funny. Maybe I will be venting. But I will always try to be entertaining.
