The Real Absenm

I am a mid-level player of Runescape who has been with the game since 2003. Three years of that time I have played as a member (membership is definately worth the minimal price). I am not an expert about Runescape. I am not a noob either. My current stats can be seen to the right of this post, but at the time of writing, I am a combat level 89. I play when I have free time and as a very nice way to relax and blow off steam after a hard day at work. Sometimes I will play everyday for weeks. Sometimes I won’t even touch the game for months. It comes and goes.

The skills I am most fond of are melee combat against NPCs. I never player killed (PKed), and very seldom ventured in to the true wilderness areas while PKing was available.  I just never felt comfertable attacking other people (even though I know many players consider this to have been one of the best parts of the game). Even though I personally didn’t partake in PKing, I think its removal from the Wilderness is a great loss to the game.  I also find fishing entertaining because of the goofy conversations going on around me. The Party Room, Quests and Treasure Trails also are an enjoyable diversion. My least favorite skills are prayer (I am not sure if anyone likes this skill), hunting, construction and most of all Summoning.

As for my real life I will not tell much willy-nilly on the internet to thousands of strangers, but I will give some general info. I am an adult male in my mid thirties, with a nice job and active social life. My time on Runescape is merely a pleasant diversion and I do not allow Runescape in conflict with my real life. I know of many people on Runescape and other games like WoW that take their online lives far too seriously and I highly recommend to those people to put away the mouse for a while, go outside, hangout with other people and enjoy the real life we all have been given. The real world, with all it problems and heartache, is still far more precious than any game on a computer.

I can be found usually on world 103 because of the very active Party Room in Faladore.
